That was the year CEO Hal Lewis’s father started his burglar alarm company in Redwood City, California. Hal worked alongside his father in his business before branching out to gain even greater experience and knowledge in the security industry. In 1974 Hal founded Alarms Unlimited in San Diego.

Alarms Unlimited started out as a burglar and fire alarm company serving residential clients. With a newly built central station, we took our success in the residential market and applied it to the commercial market. It was only logical that we build on our knowledge and expertise by bringing other technologies into our offerings. We continue to be a leader in integrated security solutions.

Alarms Unlimited designs and installs custom, affordable, state-of-the-art home security systems. We start by listening to your concerns and perceived needs for a home security solution. We typically perform a site survey and gather details about your property. We then choose appropriate, fully evaluated and tested products and design an integrated solution. These solutions may include a burglar alarm system, video surveillance, fire alarm, and carbon monoxide or water leak detection. We can make everything accessible from your laptop or mobile device. Upon your review and approval we install your home security system and provide training for you.

If applicable a home security service agreement may be offered for added value. Our comprehensive service department is available for ongoing or warranty related service.
